Antica Besseta
Off from the touristy itineraries, this small and cosy restaurant offers innovative cuisine, on the track of the Venetian tradition, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The Antica Besseta is very popular with the Venetians, especially the professors from the nearby University as well as curious outsiders equipped with good guidebooks.

Antico Martini
Every single detail in this top-class restaurant is given the greatest care: the refined atmosphere, the attentive service on the pleasant summer terrace and in the smaller tastefully decorated dining rooms, and of course, the superb cuisine offering traditional Venetian and creative dishes, are crowned by the view on La Fenice Opera House.

Antico Pignolo
A typical but sophisticated meeting point just behind St.Mark’s Square. You can savour Venetian and international dishes accompanied by the most prestigious Italian and French wines, pride of its wine cellar, for which this restaurant is justifiably renowned.

Corte Sconta
In the old Greek orthodox district, beyond the beaten tracks you find this “osteria”, whose name means “the hidden courtyard”. The long marble topped counter, the oak tables, the hand made wooden chairs with rush seating are the original old ones. Dine in the inner courtyard. Top quality fish accompanied by the Corte Sconta’s renowned “prosecco” (sparkling white wine). Friendly and animated atmosphere.

Da Fiore
Reservation is recommended to enjoy the excellent cuisine of this quiet restaurant, located in the inner core of the city, only few steps from the Rialto Bridge. Elegant, knowledgeable clientele; a lot of foreigners and good fish. The cooking ranges from traditional foods reinterpreted in a lighter way to new dishes, which always emphasize the most refined produce of the sea .

Da Ivo
The Tuscan owner and the overflowing abundance of objects hanging on the walls gives the restaurant a pleasantly romantic and exclusive atmosphere and contributes to its being cited in numerous international journals. Seating is limited, and it is therefore always advisable to book ahead. Tuscan meat specialties and fish grilled over olive tree briquettes.

Gran Caffe' ristorante Quadri

The Quadri, in Saint Mark's Square, is proud symbol of supreme quality gastronomy and traditional Venetian hospitality, a window onto "the finest drawing room in the world". Founded in the 17th century, it still keeps the heritage of its great tradition.

Harry’s Bar
The Ernest Hemingway’s favourite spot in Venice is now the most famous and the most elegant restaurant in Venice. The cuisine is excellent and their Bellini cocktail is world known.

Harry's Dolci
On Giudecca island, the Cipriani management have opened a restaurant, originally designed as a tearoom, next to their own bakery. They serve much of the same sort of food as Harry's Bar, but with emphasis on sweets and cakes, as the word "dolci" implies.

La Caravella
Because of the furniture, the atmosphere reminds a 17th century vessel, while the chef proudly prepares typical Venetian dishes, as well as international cuisine, accompanied by selected wines.

Established 130 years ago, this typical “bàcaro” offers you a large selection of wines and finger food, the popular Venetian “cichèti”. Traditionally Venetian cuisine served in a informal and friendly atmosphere.

Locanda Montin
A favourite of the poet Gabriele D’Annunzio, who included it in one of his works. The ancient Locanda Montin provides a nostalgic atmosphere, although frequented by groups of tourists during the season months. Its specialties are the grilled fish from Adriatic Sea, and the superb anger fish.

Trattoria Aciughèta
Inexpensive restaurant and wine bar. Lively and animated atmosphere. The Aciugheta is a sort of tavern, where Venetians love to meet at evening. It is also known by many tourists, and in season you may found it crowded. The cuisine is good and the prices reasonable. Pizzas are also served here.

Typical restaurant serving mostly fish. Venetian home style cuisine. Friendly atmosphere, informal service, sometimes not so attentive. Try their specialties: fried calamari, spaghetti with clams, grilled sole.

Located near the La Fenice Theatre, this small and warm wine bar offers a wide selection of Italian and foreign wines. You can also enjoy their finger food and some typical Venetian dishes. Informal ambience, young clientele, although the prices are not so cheap.
