Guido Coggi

Full professor of Pathology at the Universities of Padua and then Milan, he is presently Vice-Rector for community and external affairs at the University of Milan. He has covered several positions both at academic and non academic level, among which: President of the European Society of Pathology, President of the Council for Medical Education, Dean of the Medical Faculty, Director of the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Dentistry, and Chairman of the Department of Pathology at the University of Milan Medical School. His main scientific interests have focused on biology of cytoskeleton, tumor markers and molecular pathology in human tissues. He has also been deeply involved in the innovation of Medical Education in  Italy both at graduate and postgraduate level.
